How we decide who to send you
What happens between your brief and the first interview.
- 01Us and you, by email
We go through the brief with you
We read the brief and come back with questions, usually about which requirements are firm and which have some give. A round or two by email.
- 02Public
The advert carries the detail
The interview process, the salary band where you publish it, and a plain note on the on-call rota or anything else demanding about the role.
- 03System
An automatic screen against your must-haves
Each application is scored line by line against the must-haves from your brief, using fixed rules.
- 04Us
Then a person reads it
Someone with a relevant background reads the CV and the answers. A candidate who looks weak on paper but has a good reason gets through here.
- 05Us and the candidate
A technical conversation
We ask them to walk us through something they’ve built and follow up on the decisions behind it. Where there’s public code or writing, we read it first. No timed algorithm tests.
- 06By email
You get the case in writing
Their CV, their answers to your questions, what we think, and anything we’re unsure about.
- 07Us
We arrange the interviews
Tell us when you’re free and we sort the rest out with the candidate.
What we don’t do
No spec CVs
Nothing goes to a company that hasn’t briefed a role.
No timed algorithm tests
We assess through a conversation about real work.
No cold calls
We only call people who’ve asked us to.
No rebranded CVs
Your CV reaches the client as you wrote it, contact details included.
No database mining
We don’t scrape, buy or enrich profiles.
