The work

Regression suite, exploratory testing, and the release evidence the regulator asks for.

Worth knowing

  • Manual testing still matters here and is not treated as lesser work.

Must have

  • Automated testing you designed, not just wrote
  • Comfortable reading application code
  • Risk-based test planning

Nice to have

  • Regulated software, IEC 62304 or similar
  • Performance testing
